The 24-unit apartment building at 5506 Miller Ave in Dallas, Texas, was originally constructed on a school foundation from the early 1900s. Prior to the commencement of construction, the property was deemed uninhabitable due to severe structural issues. A comprehensive rebuilding of the foundation from within the building was undertaken to ensure its long-term stability. Subsequent to the structural work, an extensive interior renovation was carried out to preserve the building’s original historical aesthetic. The renovation process maintained the charm of the original windows, trim, doors, tile, and real wood floors, while integrating modern features and comforts.
